Conditions for the Host Family

Criminal Check
Each Host Family must also complete a criminal check and has it submit to us as well as a valid photo.

Cultural Awareness
Each Host Family is expected to respect the culture of the Au-Pair. This means to observe all the rules and customs of the candidate.

Learning the Language
Furthermore, it must be guaranteed that the Au-Pair can attend any kind of school or institute which is able to teach the language of the host country. These expenses are to be paid by the Au-Pair. In case the Host Family agrees to other financial arrangements this will be made possible between the Au-Pair and the Host Family personally.

Furthermore

• One parent must be a native speaker
• The Host Family has to provide the Au-Pair with a nice and clean room
• Photos of the Host Family
• for foreign Au-Pairs to Germany: the family has to settle with G.A.S.T an Au-Pair insurance, which covers Healt Insurance, Accident Insurance, Liability Insurance, Pregnancy Insurance, Legal Protection
  

G.A.S.T charges a handling fee of € 45,- after entry of the questionnaire. After a succesful settlement there will be a commision of € 410,-.
